Choose your superhero allegiance with this fun superhero-themed hat!
Inspired by the characters in a popular flick, this hat can be worn loud and proud by friends, family members, and superhero fans alike!
The pattern can be worked in two sizes, with the following recommended materials:
Adult:
Needle Size: #7 (4.5mm) (optionally also #6 (4.0mm) , if you want a snug fit in the band)
Yarn: Berroco Vintage
Colors:
- 5134
- 5100
- 51191, or try 5178 or 5143
Child:
Needle Size: #5 (3.75mm) (optionally also #4 (3.5mm), if you want a snug fit in the band)
Yarn: Knitpicks Cotlin DK
Colors:
- Moroccan Red
- Nightfall
- Swan
- Pomegranate
- Crème Brulee
This pattern is worked in the round with two-color stranded knitting. The pattern assumes use of magic loop with circular knitting needles, but it could also easily be made with double-pointed needles. It is recommended that you are familiar with these techniques before attempting this pattern.
Here is some info on jogless stripes, which can help clean up the beginning/end of striped rounds (removes the “jog” between rows that is obvious when colors change).
